Barbaros Tapan, Journalist, HFPA (Golden Globes) member
Born in Istanbul in 1974, Barbaros Tapan has been living in Los Angeles for 22 years. He is the Los Angeles representative for the Dogan Media Group’s Hürriyet, Fanatik, CNN TURK, and DHA as well serving as the US Editor for Turkish Airline’s SKYLIFE and Business magazines. He is currently the Turkish representative for one of the world’s leading media organizations, the HFPA (Hollywood Foreign Press Association). Tapan is also a part of one of the Television and Film world’s greatest awards organizations as a jury of the Golden Globes. Tapan, within a year, regularly conducts around 300 TV and Film interviews and works with some of Hollywood’s leading directors in numerous projects. His various interviews with Hollywood and NBA stars issued in Turk of America has led them to present Tapan with a special award in 2017 for his contributions to Turkey and Turkish culture in America.
